4 years agoLos Angeles Angels infielder David Fletcher is not available for Monday’s contest against the Mariners and left-handed pitcher Marco Gonzales. Fletcher is still dealing with an ankle sprain that he sustained Sunday, which forced him to exit early. Manager Joe Maddon stated that the team hoped to have Fletcher’s bat back in the mix Wednesday against San Diego, but that remains to be seen. The 45 hits that Fletcher has amassed this season leads the American League, with his 123 OPS+ on pace to far and away set a new career high.--Jesse Borek
