6 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman David Fletcher picked up a pinch-hit single in the team's 7-3 win over the Royals on Sunday. Fletcher has been one of the biggest, most pleasant surprises for the Angels in the first month of the season and is earning more at-bats by the day. Fletcher has a hit in 19 of the last 23 games he has appeared in where he saw at least one plate appearance. He is slugging .455 over his last 15 games and is hitting .304 with runners in scoring position. It is hard to justify picking up Fletcher and trusting him to produce for an entire season right now but is making strides to make that possibility a reality by season's end. His only value right now is in deeper, AL-only leagues right now.--Joey C - RotoBaller
