6 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery is expected to not play in the final two preseason games. The rookie made an impressive debut in the first exhibition game but did not suit up against the Giants last Friday. It appears the coaching staff has seen enough to know they need Montgomery healthy when the bell rings in Week 1. While he is not expected to dominate the carries right out of the gate, Montgomery has the talent to become the main threat in the backfield by season's end. The rookie will carry plenty of RB2/3 value heading into fantasy drafts as long as fantasy owners can be patient with the early returns as he earns the starting role in Chicago.--Joey C - RotoBaller
