4 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery carried the ball 21 times for 89 yards and added 16 receiving yards in the Bears overtime loss to the Saints in Week 8. The numbers may not bear it out but this was one of Montgomery's better efforts. The second-year back was able to continue to break tackles for extra yards but also added a 38-yard scamper for his longest gain of the season. The Bears running game has disappeared with quarterback Nick Foles under center and the offensive line ravaged by injuries. But Montgomery is worth a RB2 play moving forward thanks to high volume and the talented back making the most of his opportunities.--Joey C - RotoBaller
