5 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery will make his NFL debut on the national stage when the 2019 season kicks off at Soldier Field Thursday night against the Packers. Montgomery's fantasy has slowly been on the rise after flashing his potential in the first preseason game and coaches have raved about his elusiveness. The rookie is threat in the backfield as well as catching passes on flare routes. Montgomery will go up against a Packers Defense that allowed the 14th most fantasy points to opposing runners last season but have made several offseason moves to improve. Montgomery will share carries with Tarik Cohen and Mike Davis but the Packers allowed 17 touchdowns to running backs last season. The rookie may not dominate the workload in Week 1 but should be able to contribute. Montgomery will have FLEX appeal against the Packers.--Joey C - RotoBaller
