5 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery will look to see more than four touches in the team's Week 8 tilt against Chargers. The Bears ran the ball only seven times in Week 7 and Montgomery saw only two carries and caught two passes. The Bears running game is completely in shambles right now and gauging Montgomery's progress this season has been murky. The elusive rookie hasn't even been given a chance to show his skills at the second level of an opposing defense. This week Montgomery will go up against a Chargers Defense that is allowing the 11th most fantasy points to running backs. The matchup is pretty solid but it is impossible to decipher whether the Bears offense will ditch the running game once things go south.
