David Montgomery Stifled In Win
2 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery carried the ball 17 times for only 26 yards and added 24 receiving yards in the team's 19-10 win over the 49ers in Week 1. Montgomery saw 20 touches in the game but couldn't get anything going beyond the line-of-scrimmage. The fourth-year running back also saw backup Khalil Herbert siphon nine carries away from him, including a rushing touchdown in the second half. The volume will be there moving forward for Montgomery but his production will be put to the test again next week against the Packers in Green Bay.
