3 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery (knee) will not be activated from Injured Reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers despite being eligible to return. Rookie Khalil Herbert has really shined as Montgomery works to come back from his knee injury and figures to be the lead back in Chicago for at least another week or two. However, his matchup is a tough one this week against a 49ers defense that leads the league in fantasy points allowed to running backs. We did see Herbert have success against a stout Bucs defense last week, and his floor is raised a bit due to his passing-down work, but he's likely more of a low-end RB2/flex option this week.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
