2 years agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku will open the 2022 season with a road matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. The Browns cut Austin Hooper in the offseason, allowing Njoku to ascend to the clear-cut No. 1 tight end role in town. Njoku is an explosive player and turned in some big games in 2021, but his early-season production could be inconsistent with Jacoby Brissett under center. Cleveland figures to be run-heavy on Sunday and the Panthers were moderately tough on tight ends in 2021, allowing the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to the position.
