David Njoku Leads Browns In Receiving In Week 1
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku caught three of five targets for 76 yards in a 33-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. Njoku's 76 yards were good enough to lead the team in receiving as he finished with five yards more than Jarvis Landry in the loss. The outing comes as a bit of a surprise as Njoku outproduced presumed starting tight end Austin Hooper, who finished with just 27 yards on three grabs. Njoku's athleticism down the seam is a problem for opposing defenses, so he could remain a big part of the Cleveland offense moving forward. He will be an upside TE2 in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.
