David Njoku Has No Comment About Future With Browns
4 years agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku declined to comment on his future with the team when he made an appearance on the Jim Rome show on Friday. When asked if he wants to be back with the Browns, Njoku stated, "I'm not going to answer that right now. I have no comment towards that at this moment." Njoku requested a trade out of Cleveland a few times last season after the team signed free-agent Austin Hooper and drafted Harrison Bryant in the previous offseason. After finishing the season with a solid performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, he is heading into the final year of his contract and is due $6.013 million in 2021. That sum doesn't fully guarantee until March 17. It isn't out of the question that Njoku is in a different uniform by the time training camp opens in the summer.
