David Njoku Trending In Wrong Direction
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (COVID-19) is "not trending in the right direction" in regards to his status for Week 14 against Baltimore. The 25-year-old is asymptomatic but would need to be activated by Saturday at 4 p.m. in order to play this Sunday. Of course, he can't be activated unless he remains asymptomatic and registers two negative test results 24 hours apart from each other. He'd need his first negative test to come back sometime today if he has any shot at playing. With Njoku's status looking pessimistic and Harrison Bryant (ankle) already ruled out, starting tight end Austin Hooper could be in for a solid showing against a Ravens team that has struggled to defend tight ends. Hooper ranks as a high-end TE2 this week.
