4 years agoNew York Mets left-handed pitcher David Peterson (shoulder) will return from the injured list and start in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday against the Yankees. Peterson threw two solid bullpen sessions earlier in the week affording him the opportunity to come off the IL as soon as possible. Peterson has impressed through his first four big-league starts, compiling a 2.91 ERA and 1.15 WHIP to go along with three wins. Peterson will face an injury-depleted Yankees' lineup on Friday which makes him a good streaming option in seasonal formats. Just be aware that the Mets could have him on a pitch count since he is just returning from the IL, so DFS players may wish to look elsewhere for a cheap, contrarian pitching option.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
