4 years agoNew York Mets left-handed pitcher David Peterson appears to have lost his job in the starting rotation, at least for the time being, as he shifts to the bullpen ahead of Wednesday's contest against Baltimore. Peterson has delivered a 3.51 ERA in five big league starts, but with the Mets’ staff and relief corps in flux due to performance and injury-related concerns, he’ll cede way to Robert Gsellman, who is tabbed to start Thursday versus the Yankees. Dating back to his collegiate days, Peterson has never appeared in a game out of relief, which when combined with his loss of a starting gig, zaps him of the vast majority of his fantasy intrigue in 2020.--Jesse Borek
