4 years agoNew York Mets left-handed pitcher David Peterson (shoulder) returned from the injured list on Friday and allowed three earned runs, three walks, and four hits over four innings of work in the Mets' 4-3 win against the Yankees. Peterson struck out three and threw 70 pitches but did not factor into the decision. Peterson had looked impressive through his first four big-league starts, but clearly struggled with his command on Friday when facing the cross-town rivals. He now owns a 3.51 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, to go with 20 strikeouts, over 25 2/3 innings pitched. Assuming there are no hiccups in the Mets' schedule and the starting rotation remains set, Peterson is in line to next face the Orioles on Wednesday in what could be a solid matchup for streaming purposes.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
