David Peterson To Make Next Start
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher David Peterson will make his next scheduled start with the Mets, according to manager Luis Rojas. Peterson lasted just 2 2/3 innings pitched against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing four earned runs, eight hits and one walk in the 10-3 loss. Over his last four starts, the struggling 25-year-old has allowed 15 earned runs, 21 hits and eight walks in 13 2/3 innings, resulting in his ERA ballooning to 6.32 and his WHIP rising to 1.51. Peterson is tentatively scheduled to face the Cubs next Monday at home. Given his struggles and very poor results thus far in 2021, he is best left on the waiver wire in all but the deepest of fantasy formats.
