6 years agoRed Sox starting pitcher David Price has been notoriously poor against the New York Yankees throughout his career. Price has bounced around the AL East facing the Yankees through various times of the year with the Rays, Blue Jays and now Red Sox. For the first time this season, he has thrown a quality start versus them, albeit against a much softer lineup. New York was without sluggers Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez on Sunday, so Price was given a bit of a cakewalk with a bottom of the order consisting of Luke Voit and Shane Robinson. Nevertheless, Price impressed. He threw six innings and struck out five while only allowing two runs to the best hitting team against lefties. Price should hope that the next time the Yankees come around, they leave Stanton on the bench too.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
