David Price Makes 2019 Debut On Monday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price opens his season on the bump in Oakland on Monday night. Price, now 33, enters 2019 with hopes of repeating as World Series Champions and he can start by giving the Sox's rotation a sign of life after a less-than-thrilling start to the season. Through the team's first four games, no Red Sox starter has gone more than five innings or allowed less than four earned runs. Price gets to face a boom-or-bust Athletics lineup that has hit eight homers and scored 23 runs through six games. Price allowed 25 homers last season, 12 of which came against right-handed hitters on the road, so it's not the greatest matchup with the A's boasting a right-handed-heavy lineup.
