David Price Only Lasts 1 1/3 Innings Thursday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price allowed six earned runs on five hits and was pulled after only 1 1/3 innings Thursday against the Rangers. This one was supposed to be a layup for Price but he ended up getting shelled by a surprisingly hot Rangers lineup. This won't happen to Price often so fantasy owners who took a beat down have to shrug it off and move on. This start brings Price to a 3.52 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 71 strikeouts in 61 1/3 innings. However, he has pitched much better as this game ballooned his ERA. He had not allowed more than three runs since his start on April 6. Expect him to carry on being the top pitcher that he is going forward. A matchup against the Twins next time shouldn't excite fantasy owners, but he is a must-start against any lineup.
