6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price pitched six innings of five-hit ball, while surrendering four earned runs, striking out nine, and walking two in a 7-0 loss to the Athletics on Monday. The 33-year-old gave up three home runs in the loss, which accounted for every run he surrendered. Ultimately, Price just didn't receive any run support behind him to give the team a chance. All things considered, this was the best outing by a Red Sox starter through the first week of the season but that's not saying much given the team's 1-4 start. Boston hasn't announced their weekend plans yet but the earliest we could see Price again would be Saturday against the Diamondbacks.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
