6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price finished 6 1/3 innings, allowing two runs, on six hits, while striking out six, and walking one in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Yankees. Price was effective in New York, throwing 65 of 99 pitches for strikes, including 13 swinging strikes. The only real blemish against him was a solo shot from Luke Voit in the third, while the second run was a sacrifice fly. The outing marks his sixth time striking out at least six hitters this season, and it's also the sixth time this year that he's lasted six or more innings. He's 3-2 on the year with a 2.83 ERA, which is aided by an impressive 29 K% and just a 6 BB%. He'll get the ball next on Saturday, when the Red Sox host Tampa Bay. Price will have a solid matchup and should continue to be a solid source of strikeouts and innings.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
