2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher David Robertson was asked to take the ball in the ninth inning on Wednesday. The veteran right-hander was acquired by the Phillies through a trade with the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday. Manager Rob Thompson mentioned that Robertson might not get save chances right away in Philly. Well, that was not the case as Robertson came out for the save during Wednesday's contest. He struck out two batters and earned himself his 15th save of the season. The expectation is that Robertson will continue to get save chances in Philly going forward.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
