6 years agoWhile this will unfortunately likely go for naught, New York Mets third baseman David Wright has ramped his level of baseball activity in an attempt to make it back to the Major Leagues. On Sunday, Wright took 20 swings off a tee, played catch, and fielded grounders. Dealing with a plethora of back, shoulder, and neck injuries, the odds remain long for Wright to make a successful comeback. You can’t blame a guy for trying, though. Wright missed the entire 2017 season and has played only 75 games since 2015, but the Mets captain simply refuses to give up. Even if he does make it back, the odds of fantasy relevance here are close to zero.--John Smith
