David Wright Takes Batting Practice For Second Straight Day
6 years agoWith the good news on New York Mets third baseman David Wright (back, neck) seemingly few and far between, it’s always really nice to have the opportunity to take note when the chance arises. Wright took batting practice at Citi Field on Tuesday, the second consecutive day he has done so, in his latest comeback attempt from various neck and back injuries that have derailed his career. Wright missed the 2017 season in its entirety and has played only 75 games since 2015, but the captain just keeps on trying. If he defies the odds and does make it back, there won’t be any fantasy relevance here, but it would be a tremendous story for baseball nonetheless.
