Davis Mills Improving In Training Camp
2 years agoHouston Texans quarterback Davis Mills was a pleasant surprise in his rookie season, producing 2,664 passing yards, 16 passing touchdowns and 10 interceptions in only 11 games as a starter. He was also more effective towards the end of the season, appearing more comfortable while finishing with a 3-2 record to end the season. Mills reported he has been using "throw charts" to "focus on the areas he needed work on" to "play faster." Mills is in an interesting spot because the Texans are likely to finish with an early Round 1 draft pick in 2023 and could select a quarterback. They have publicly expressed their commitment to Mills for 2022, though, locking him in as their starter this year. Unfortunately, that likely won't amount to more than a QB20-25 finish in fantasy, making him a target only in superflex or two-quarterback leagues.
