3 years agoWashington Football Team wide receiver Dax Milne was the second-to-last pick in the 2021 NFL draft, but the former BYU receiver has caught the eye of his new head coach, Ron Rivera. In his final collegiate season, Milne put up 70 receptions for 1,188 yards and eight touchdowns with Zach Wilson throwing him the ball. His yardage total was good for fourth-most in all of college football, trailing only Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith, Elijah Moore, and Jaelon Darden. The 22-year-old has a long way to go to crack the Washington roster, but he is giving the coaching staff a reason to keep him around with his impressive play. "He has progressed very well. He really has," Rivera said. "You see his natural route running ability showing in certain situations, circumstances." Milne will be competing with the likes of DeAndre Carter, Antonio Gandy-Golden, and potentially Steven Sims Jr. for a roster spot. Even if the rookie does crack the roster, he shouldn't be rostered in fantasy leagues.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
