DeAndre Hopkins Should Be Healthy Next Month
3 years agoArizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) should be healthy in the next month. Hopkins missed three games with a hamstring injury and the team's final five games of the season, including Monday night's wild-card loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. The Cardinals offense limped to the finish line and wasn't the same without the 29-year-old five-time Pro Bowl receiver. Hopkins was the clear No. 1 target for quarterback Kyler Murray when he was healthy, though, catching 42 of his 64 targets for 572 yards (13.6 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns in 10 games. That should again be the case in 2022, but it will be interesting to see what the rest of the receiving corps behind Hopkins looks like, as both A.J. Green and Christian Kirk will be unrestricted free agents this March.
