5 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Dee Gordon has been activated from the IL for Saturday's game versus Rays starter Charlie Morton. The 31-year-old was sidelined on July 23 with a quad strain and held a .280/.306/.367 slash line with three homers and 16 stolen bases before going down. Drafted mostly for his production in the SB column, Gordon wasn't exactly his old self before the injury, stealing just three bags in his previous 28 contests while batting out of the ninth spot in the lineup. He'll likely return to this place in the order which caps his value, but he should return a decent batting average the rest of the way. Gordon may not be the stud base stealer from year's past, but those searching for steals down the stretch run can count on Gordon for another handful or two.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
