Dee Gordon Clears The Fences In Three-Hit Night
6 years agoDespite the Seattle Mariners 7-3 loss to the Yankees on Monday, second baseman Dee Gordon had a terrific day at the plate. He went 3-for-4 with a solo home run for his third of the year, and it was also his 18th RBI, as he's showing a bit more pop this season. Gordon's career high is four dingers, so don't expect too many more going forward, but his .297 average and nine thefts should continue to help his fantasy value. The 31-year-old has cooled off with only two stolen bases in his last 20 games, but he remains tied for third in the majors in this category. The M's have used Gordon primarily out of the ninth spot in their batting order, which has put a dent in his potential to get on base more often, but he remains a reliable speed and average contributor in all formats.
