4 years agoFree agent second baseman Dee Strange-Gordon has turned down several minor-league offers, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Rosenthal noted that one of those offers was from the Cincinnati Reds, the team that just released him last week. Strange-Gordon was a non-roster invitee by the Reds earlier this spring but did not make the team. Rosenthal added that the 32-year-old "continues to work out every day, waiting for jobs that might open due to injury or poor performance." It's clear that Strange-Gordon's best days are behind him but he's still got some speed in his profile and would make for a decent reserve on a number of clubs. He may need to wait a little while but he should latch on to a team sometime in the first half of the season. If and when he signs, he wouldn't hold much fantasy value except for in the deepest of category leagues.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
