4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (foot) is expected to get back on the practice field next week, head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed Wednesday. The move would allow Samuel to get enough repetitions in before the team’s Week 1 matchup against Arizona, with the expectation being that Samuel will ultimately be cleared for the contest. The most appealing fantasy option of the 49ers wideout group, Samuel compiled 802 receiving yards as a rookie last season and now figures to be one of the team’s premier threats in the passing game. Currently being drafted inside the top 100 of most season-long drafts, fantasy managers weary about Samuel’s injury outlook can gain some reassurance from the team’s confidence in his availability.--Jesse Borek
