3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel caught five of nine targets for 63 yards during a 31-17 Week 9 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The third-year wideout has been the alpha target within the 49ers' offense this season, especially with George Kittle previously on Injured Reserve. However, with Kittle's activation and subsequent return on Sunday, Samuel saw his targets decrease from eleven to nine. At the same time, his yardage total plunged from 100-plus yards in his previous two outings to 63 yards against the Cardinals. Despite failing to score and seeing his opportunity decrease, Samuel should still be considered a fringe WR1 in PPR formats heading into a Week 10 primetime matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.--Matt MacKay - RotoBaller
