Deebo Samuel Situation With 49ers Improving?

2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel started following the team on Instagram again, and he also liked a post about the team's general manager John Lynch stating that the issues between the team and Samuel can be worked out. The trade speculation and drama surrounding Samuel began with him removing all references to the team from his social media last month, so this reversal could be hinting at a resolution. The all-purpose weapon is due to make just under $4 million in the final year of his rookie contract, but it seems to be a near-certainty that he will not play on those terms. After pre-draft offers from the Detroit Lions and the New York Jets did not seem to be particularly close to what the 49ers wanted, things may be looking up for a return to action in San Francisco on a new deal. Whether Samuel's reported concerns about his usage are addressed remains to be seen.--Dessy John
