Deebo Samuel Will Miss Remainder Of 2020 Regular Season
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring) has been ruled out for the rest of the 2020 season due to a hamstring injury that he sustained Sunday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Samuel could come back in time for a potential 49ers playoff game, but that he would be unavailable over the final three weeks of the year. Samuel's second NFL season was heavily hampered by injuries which limited him to just seven games, having accrued 33 receptions for 391 yards and one touchdown. Having just recently found his groove as an electric piece in the San Francisco offense, Samuel will likely be the top 49ers wide receiver on draft boards come '21, but his absence now paves the way for Brandon Aiyuk, Kendrick Bourne, Richie James, River Cracraft, and Trent Taylor to see more targets over the final three contests.
