Deivi Garcia Bounces Back On Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Deivi Garcia was great against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, allowing two runs over seven innings with six strikeouts and no walks. Garcia generated an impressive 14.7% swinging-strike rate for the game, and only six of the 20 balls in play he allowed were hard-hit. Garcia now owns a 3.06 ERA with 18 strikeouts and two walks over his three starts (17.2 innings) this season, and it’s hard to see the Yankees removing him from the rotation, even if James Paxton (forearm) returns.
