4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Deivi Garcia was excellent in his MLB debut on Sunday, holding the Mets to one run (zero earned) with six strikeouts and no walks over six innings. As the team’s 29th man for Sunday’s doubleheader, Garcia was sent back to the team’s alternate site following the game, but manager Aaron Boone indicated that Garcia may return to the major league rotation this season. Dubbed “Little Pedro” for lofty comparisons to Pedro Martinez, Garcia boasts a devastating curveball along with a solid slider and fastball, and he should remain on the radar of fantasy players as a result.--Sam Chinitz
