Delino DeShields Breaks Homer Drought
5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer Monday at the Yankees. It was his first homer since July 13 as the 27-year-old outfielder has struggled in the second half. Since the All-Star break, DeShields has just a .652 OPS and has struck out 41 times in 35 games. 20 stolen bases on the season keep him on the fringes of fantasy relevancy in deep rotisserie leagues or AL-Only, but DeShields is best left on waivers in standard mixed leagues.
