7 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields (head) is hoping to return from the disabled list on Sunday once he passes the concussion procedures. "Everything is good," said DeShields, 25. "They said it could have been triggered by different things, maybe allergies. Maybe it was banging my head in the game, but they don't think it was related to a concussion. Those symptoms usually happen a few days later. Mine came 2-3 weeks later. They felt it was related to a bad migraine or a virus." He has been taking batting practice and doing other baseball activities. DeShields has been a frustrating fantasy play, as his wheels are useful in deeper leagues, but he's not getting on base enough (.310 on-base percentage). He's also hitting a dreadful .208 with two homers, 21 RBI and 18 stolen bases. DeShields should return to the starting center field job. Pick him up if he's available in your league and you need steals.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
