3 years agoThe first month of the 2022 season has come and gone. Denny Hamlin is outside of the top-20 overall. On the bright side, he starts 15th on Sunday and showed intermediate consistency when it came to speed. His times did not drop off until his runs reached into the 20 to 25 lap range. Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing felt adjustments could be made there. The No. 11 Toyota needs some good results on Sunday. He has an advantage at superspeedways. Hamlin performs well on tracks like Daytona and even if the track is a bit more hybrid than expected, the JGR driver has the ability to find the speed late in this race.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
