Denzel Mims Plays Well In Preseason Opener
3 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims was probably the last player you'd expect to play well right now. He has been sidelined in recent practices and trade rumors have been swirling around as well. The former second round pick from 2020 struggled in limited time with the team last season. Since then, the Jets have improved their receiver group, which has pushed Mims down on the depth chart. However, he recorded three receptions for a team-high 51 yards in the preseason opener versus the New York Giants. Mims is beginning to show flashes of his potential. Although, Mims will need another strong performance or two before he legitimately could move up the depth chart. Right now, he is a deep league stash with decent upside.
