5 years agoOakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will look to start his second season under head coach Jon Gruden off on the right note as the team squares off against the Broncos on Monday. The 28-year-old is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons with a career-low 19 touchdowns in 2018. With the new array of talent surrounding him on the field, Carr is poised to return to his 2016 MVP-candidate self with arguably the most dynamic offense for his utilization. His Week 1 matchup isn't an ideal one for fantasy purposes as the Broncos Defense were a top-10 team in both sacks and interceptions last year, but his home field advantage will help boost his value. Carr isn't a recommended play in two-QB leagues, but we look forward to seeing what the veteran can do on the field with his new weapons.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
