Derek Carr Finds His Groove In Monday's OT Victory
3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders starting quarterback Derek Carr completed 34 of 56 passes for 435 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in Monday's dramatic 33-27 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens. The 30-year-old veteran took some time to get comfortable against the tough Ravens defense, showing rust from not taking any snaps in the preseason. But he found more of a groove in the second half and connected with favorite target Darren Waller as well as young receivers Bryan Edwards and Henry Ruggs III. Carr remains a bit of a fantasy gamble, especially with the Raiders facing a tough Steelers defense in Week 2. However, after his performance on Monday night, the Southern California native is worth keeping an eye on in the coming weeks.
