3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr completed 18-of-27 passes for 341 yards with two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-24 win over the host Denver Broncos. Despite the emotional rollercoaster the Raiders went on last week, Carr easily had his best start of the season as he connected with wide receiver Henry Ruggs III on Vegas' six-play opening drive to give the Raiders an early 7-0 lead. The 30-year-old signal-caller kept his composure throughout Sunday's game which allowed his receiving corps to rebound from a disappointing Week 5 performance against the Chicago Bears. Carr is still best utilized in two-QB formats, but his improved performance is definitely worth the recognition.--Chelena Goldman
