5 years agoOakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will face the Houston Texans in Week 8, giving him some streaming appeal for managers looking to replace bye-week QBs Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott. Carr is coming off his best fantasy game of 2019, despite two turnovers, where he threw for 293 yards and two scores against the Packers. The 28-year-old will have a juicier matchup this Sunday versus a susceptible Texans Defense who has given up the fifth-most FPPG to quarterbacks this season. Houston has struggled mightily defending the pass as they've served up a league-high 1,929 yards through the air and four 20-point or more fantasy performances in the last five weeks. Carr hasn't lived up to expectations this season in other favorable matchups, so there's undoubtedly some risk, but he will carry a safe floor if Tyrell Williams and Zay Jones suit up.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
