Derek Carr Will Play In Second Preseason Game

5 years agoOakland Raiders Derek Carr will receive some snaps in Thursday's preseason contest versus the Arizona Cardinals. The 28-year-old sat on the sidelines with most of the Raiders starters in Saturday's opener versus the Rams after getting plenty of reps in their joint practices a week ago. Head coach Jon Gruden failed to get into any specifics on how much we'll see of Carr with his newly built offense, but it's likely he'll only get in a drive or two. The expectations are high for Carr in his second year in Gruden's system, and he'll have some of the best weapons he's ever had at his disposal. He could make a fine QB2 in two-quarterback leagues and might find some streamer appeal in standard formats if he can successfully navigate this offense.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
