Derek Dietrich Linked To Brewers In Trade Rumors
6 years agoMiami Marlins utility player Derek Dietrich has recently been linked to numerous trade rumors, with one of the teams being the Milwaukee Brewers. Dietrich is having arguably his best offensive season of his career, batting .303 with 11 home runs, 30 RBI and an OPS of .845 in 271 at-bats. Dietrich still has two more years of arbitration eligibility, so a team looking to pick him up will be able to get him on a cheaper deal for another two seasons. Dietrich has mainly been playing left field this season, however, he would most certainly play second base for the Brewers, as their situation with Jonathan Villar, Tyler Saladino and many other names has yet to be resolved. Whether Dietrich would start on an everyday basis in Milwaukee is unknown. Owners of Dietrich should ride out his hot streak until he cools down, but he's certainly a sell-high candidate in fantasy as well.
