Derek Hill Begins Rehab Assignment
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Derek Hill (hamstring) began a rehab assignment with Single-A Lakeland on Friday. He led off and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Friday's rehab outing. The 26-year-old has been sidelined since Spring Training with a right hamstring strain. Hill is expected to be a reserve when he returns to action, but with his ability to rack up stolen bases (swiped 6-of-9 bags in just 49 games), the Tigers outfielder does have appeal in AL-Only leagues.
