6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Derek Holland (finger) made his first start since coming off the 10-day injured list, allowing seven earned runs, seven hits and four walks with two strikeouts in just 2 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Colorado Rockies on Thursday. He had his start postponed on Wednesday, and he probably wishes the snow was more intense in this one, too. He threw just 46 of his 73 pitches, and his velocity was fine, but he hung three balls over the dish and the Rockies made him pay with three homers. Rust was to be expected. He'll try and rebound Tuesday night against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays.--Daniel Dobish
