D'Ernest Johnson Gains 16 Yards On Eight Carries
3 years agoCleveland Browns running back D'Ernest Johnson turned in a quiet afternoon in a 41-16 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9. Johnson picked up just 16 yards on eight carries and was not targeted in the passing game. The veteran back has come crashing back to earth after an excellent performance against the Denver Broncos in Week 7, having totaled just 38 rushing yards and a touchdown over his past two games. The good news is that Johnson will continue to be involved as a change of pace option behind Nick Chubb for as long as Kareem Hunt is on injured reserve. The Browns will face the New England Patriots on the road in Week 10.
