7 years agoVancouver Canucks defenseman Derrick Pouliot was an unlikely history maker in Thursday's 2-1 win over Edmonton, as he became the first player ever in the NHL whose first five career goals have all turned out to be game-winners. The former Penguin put one past Cam Talbot at the start of the third, with Nikolay Goldobin and Jussi Jokinen picking up the assists. It's Pouliot's third goal of the season, with the last one coming on Dec. 5 when he had a three-point game in a 3-0 win over Carolina. He doesn't score many, but when he does, then they are usually big goals. The Canucks will be hoping he can provide many more of those in the future, as the eighth pick of the 2012 draft is finally finding his feet in the big league.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
